ZM-Grow – Potato Trial, Solum Co, Komarom, Hungary 24/03/20
What does Mn-Zn-S mean to a Potato crop – Ref AHDB Potatoes
Zn deficiency in Potato crop reduces yield , but balanced application of Zn promotes protein growth, suppresses powdery scab and promotes higher yields
Mn deficiency can reduce yields but balanced application of Mn promotes better skin finish, activation of plant enzymes and Chlorophyll synthesis
Sulphur is beneficial for all crops, but when combined with Mn & Zn promotes better potato skin finish and higher yields.
Method
Applied at 3 litres/Ha on full leaf canopy – July 2018, Solum Co., Komarom, Hungary
ZM-Grow vs Control
Petiole test that ZM-Grow when applied to canopy is available over 14 days in the leaves and so giving the plant access to nutrients when required.
14 Days from application, leaves where picked, dried and tested for available Sulphur – Manganese – Zinc.
Observations & Conclusion
Results below show that whilst Sulphuris very mobile in the leaves/plant that a small % increase is observed , but Zinc & Manganese show significant % increases in the leaves which will help balance and make available Zn & Mn to the Potato Crop.
Recommendation is to apply 3Litres/Ha ZM-Grow to Potato Canopy either straight or with Crop Protection products.

Summary of the ZM-Grow™ fertilisation tests in USA for Cotton, Field Tomato, Avocado, Citrus, Wheat 10 2018
During 2018 a number of detailed field tests were performed for ZM-Grow in the USA. The tests were performed by professional independent researches and research institutes and thus provide credible information on the performance of ZM-Grow. While the results can be widely adapted due to the nature of the test, the end results can have some variation based on conditions.

Conclusions
1. Test Method
The tests were conducted in the following way, before the fertilisation a control sample of the untreated leaves was taken to show the base level for both Zn and Mn. Then the spreading was made to different sectors with several liquid concentrations from weakest to strongest to discern which was the optimum dose for ZM-Grow. A comparison was made in all the tests with a competing product (Sulphate, Chelate) that had a similar or very similar properties to ZM-Grow. This showed if our product gave inferior, similar or superior results when compared to existing products. Prices in the £/Ha comparison are estimates and can vary dependent on market conditions.
